I brought together the beauty of Long Islands beaches, and my imagination, portraying my personal perception of nature and the symbiotic relationship that we as humans all have with it. The amber represents my Lithuanian heritage, and serves as a reminder of how fragile the future is, as the natural death of a tree leaves behind amber, but the destruction of a tree makes no amber for future generations.. I hope this project will be able to spread awareness about preserving the environment and inspire people to look down at the sand at the beaches, and hopefully not litter.
